I've been buying solo ads since around 2014. Back then, I was a complete beginner in affiliate marketing, scrambling to build my first email list in the make-money-online (MMO) niche.
Like a lot of new buyers, I got burned early. I bought what looked like "cheap traffic" from a vendor on a forum. The clicks came in fast, but not a single person opened my follow-up emails. I later realized I'd paid for bot traffic, clicks that looked real on the surface but never converted into anything.
That experience made me obsessed with traffic quality. I started testing vendors methodically, building tracking systems, and documenting what actually worked versus what just sounded good in a sales thread.
